Kevin Mutta is both a Teaching Fellow at and a recent graduate from Ashoka University, having completed a BA (Hon.) in English and Creative Writing with theses in both. Kevin's Creative Writing thesis was a translation of the Hindi novel Ekakini, written by Asha Sahay and published in 1947, into English. Their English thesis was an analysis of Ekakini, thinking through how the novel's form might be working against the politics of visibility that circumscribes its recent republication and reclamation as "The First Lesbian Novel in Hindi."

An occasional writer, prospective academic and aspiring translator-theorist, Kevin's near future is occupied with more projects in translation and harrowing applications to PhD programmes.
